Staffordshire Police impounded two uninsured vehicles during a busy start to Wednesday night.
In an incident in Cobridge, a blue Ford Focus was impounded after officers found the driver did not have insurance.
The second car seizure occurred on the A34 near Newcastle-under-Lyme.
The driver of a blue Peugeot 206 was found to have no insurance and police impounded his car.
Staffordshire Police Response said on Twitter just after 11.30pm on Wednesday evening: “NE15 from #Shift5North has impounded a vehicle in the Cobridge area of Stoke-on-Trent.
“It was determined that the driver did not have insurance and his vehicle was impounded.”
Another tweet added: “NE21 & NE24 have impounded a vehicle on the A34 Newcastle below Lyme.
“The driver, who was found not to have insurance, had his vehicle impounded. The driver was also reported for these offenses.”
Impounded cars are usually impounded at a nearby police station.
The owner then has seven days to provide the appropriate documentation for the vehicle to be reclaimed and then another week to recover it.
