A new direction has been developed: Activities – Directorate-General

The Management of Emergency Management (Public Activities No. 29) (COVID-19) 2021 was abolished and replaced by the new management titled Emergency Management (Activities – General) (COVID-19) Management 2021 and Emergency Management (Activities – Associated No. 1) . (COVID-19) Direction 2021, which came into effect on Tuesday, July 20, 2021 at 12:01 p.m.

Activities-general

The purpose of the activities – Directorate-General is:

  • Introducing a set of basic control measures, generally applicable to public activities and gatherings, while the Major Emergency Declaration remains in effect; and
  • To allow other control measures to be introduced from time to time through appropriate instructions (if necessary).

The Activities – General (COVID-19) Direction 2021 pursues a tiered approach that grades the requirements proportionally to the risk of transmission of COVID-19:

  • No-Level – Baseline Requirements – This is a maintenance level by applying basic COVID-Safe requirements.
  • Stage 1 – Prepare and Assess – The disease is contained in South Australia.
  • Level 2 – Minor Restrictions – The disease is contained in South Australia but is located within the Australian community that may pose a risk to South Australia.
  • Level 3 – Medium Restrictions – There is a medium risk that the disease will not be contained in South Australia.
  • Level 4 – High Restrictions – There is a high risk that the disease will not be contained in South Australia.
  • Stage 5 – Stay at Home – South Australia is likely not to have the disease.

Activity-associated direction # 1

This directorate acts as an annex to the Directorate for Emergency Management (General Activities) (COVID-19) 2021. It writes the level of restrictions (as in the Directorate for Emergency Management (General Activities) (COVID-19) 2021) for south off Australia .

The Associated Direction can apply generally or within specific areas within the state.

The Associated Direction No. 1 states that the state of South Australia will be subject to Level 4 restrictions starting Tuesday, July 20, 2021 at 12:01 p.m.

Level 4 restrictions include:

Density requirements

The following density requirements apply:

  • Indoor or outdoor space – 1 people per 4 square meters

People must do their best to implement physical distancing and stay 1.5m from people they do not know.

Note- The resident / owner of a location must calculate density requirements based on the space available to the public for the defined activity (excluding toilets, etc.). Personnel and personnel areas are not charged.

Collection of provisions

The following collective provisions apply:

  • Meeting / event in an appropriately licensed room (e.g. wedding, funeral, party) – 1 person per 4 m² and the capacity is determined by the room.
  • Private Residence – Limit of 10 people for a private activity (excluding people who normally live in a building). For example, if 4 people live in a house, they are allowed to have 10 additional visitors, making a total of 14 people (4 residents and 10 visitors).
  • Meeting / event in a private location – maximum 10 people, 1 person per 4 m².
  • Meeting / event in an appropriately licensed room – 1 person per 4 m² and the capacity is determined by the room.

Note- Children and toddlers of all ages are counted in the collection and density regulations above.

Masks

Masks must be worn in the following places:

  • Passenger transport services
  • shared indoor public spaces
  • Health services
  • High risk settings

The following activities are restricted:

  • Essential Retail Services are allowed to open.
  • Casinos and game rooms are closed.
  • Dancing is only allowed by the bridal party at a wedding.
  • Singing – is only allowed for educational purposes or for one-to-one tuition.
  • Shisha / Shisha is not allowed.
  • Personal care services – including services at hairdressers, barbershops, beauty salons, nail and tattoo parlors, wellness centers, day spas and massage parlors, saunas and bathhouses are not permitted.
  • Public entertainment – including concerts, live theater or other live performances, movies, galleries, museums, public historical sites, zoos and other wildlife parks or other publicly accessible entertainment venues are not permitted.
  • Indoor fitness facilities are closed.
  • Team, club and competitive sports are not permitted, except as part of the school curriculum and without cross-school activities.
  • Events related to the COVID management plan are not permitted.

Consumption of food and drink

Food or drink served for consumption in event venues (including pubs, cafes, clubs, restaurants, wineries, etc.) may only be consumed outdoors. Joint food and drinks are not permitted. Take away is allowed.

Indispensable retail

The following locations are considered indispensable retail stores and are allowed to open under level 4 restrictions:

  • Retailing and wholesaling of food, beverages, newspapers and stationery in non-specialized and specialized shops, including take-away food or drink;
  • Retail sale of consumer goods for the household required to maintain the safety and hygiene of homes and businesses;
  • Pharmacies, pharmacies, and retailers offering drugs or pharmaceutical or dispensing services;
  • Optician and optometrist services;
  • Retail sale of medical and orthopedic goods in specialty shops;
  • Retail petrol stations and heating oil providers;
  • Retailers engaged in the sale or repair of automobiles, motorcycles or bicycle repairs and related facilities (e.g. tire sales and repairs);
  • Retailing of essential items for animal health and welfare including animal feed and medicines, animal feed, pet food and supplies including bedding;
  • Laundries and dry cleaners;
  • Banks, post offices, courier services and credit unions;
  • Retail of security supplies stores (e.g. for work clothes and personal protective equipment);
  • Hardware stores, building and timber dealers, and stores selling hardware and garden products required for household and business maintenance, sanitary and agricultural equipment, horticultural / agricultural / agricultural supplies and tools;
  • Retailing of office products and services for home working individuals and businesses;
  • Retailers in the electrical, IT and telephone sales, repair and maintenance of the home;
  • Retail online and telephone ordering services and order pickup or delivery services;
  • Stores primarily selling health, medical, maternity, and infant supplies;
  • Car rental; and
  • Retail services identified in writing by the country coordinator as essential.

The public is reminded that other requirements related to COVID management / safe plans, COVID marshals, QR codes and physical distancing still apply
