They are local acts: The Vankeys, The Money Shots, Vampd, Bigfoot Mafia and Chris Baker, who all present impressive appearances on their social media channels as posts.

Fans will now vote on the Supercars website to decide whether the winning band will perform in front of ARIA award winner Jamieson at Saturday Night Thrills and also win the opportunity to sing the national anthem on the grid, with this performance worldwide and is broadcast nationwide by Fox Sports and the Seven Network.

The second place winner will also perform on Saturday night for a cash prize of $ 2000.

NTI Townsville 500 Event Manager Sam Pearce said the response to the Battle of the Bands competition had exceeded expectations.

“The caliber of talent we saw in this year’s entries was outstanding,” said Pearce.

“Bands have demonstrated their talent and have already made their contributions well known on social media. So we can’t wait to see which acts will be selected as winners in the coming days. “
